  1. Yes, while not quite following the astronomy it still is fascinating to see what these early N American people did to their environment. As to why they did it and your article disagreeing with the solstice explanation reminded me of the book, Motel of the Mysteries. It is a funny read about archeologists finding our current structures and making wild guesses. Like the throne, ie, bathroom. LOL.
