    • Because our headquarters is an active workplace, it is not open to the public without appointment. Any visit must be arranged through our central office or with a specific scientist on staff. In general, visits to our headquarters are reserved for people who are visiting members of the Observatory and not for sightseers. We do have a space in our old telescope domes that we are adapting for public visits, which may be arranged through us or (in the future) through the Vatican Museums.
