I was 19 in 1979, and went to see a movie of the rock band Genesis in concert “on the BIG screen” in Detroit – this YouTube video is that concert, and I have it queued near the end of one of their songs. This was my first experience seeing an atomic bomb blast – it absolutely horrified me, and has stayed with me my entire life. It’s funny that it was a progressive rock band that gave me my first taste of this, and not any of my schooling…
