Catholic Women of Science: Embracing Pope Francis’ call to elevate the dignity and role of women. — 2 Comments

  1. Fr. James, thank you for this timely and inspiring post. I teach at an all girls school and we visited the Vatican Observatory in Arizona this February on a “Science and Faith trip”. One of the aspects of the trip that the students commented on often was how they were treated with dignity and as intellectual equals by everyone they met. That is much to the credit of people like the Vatican Astronomers (Brother Guy, Father Chris,Corbally, Father Gabor, and Father Boyle). Brenda Frye gave them an informative and inspiring presentation. Three of the graduating seniors from the trip are going into STEM fields with the knowledge that they do not need to stop contemplating faith in order to be scientists. My appreciation goes out to all of you who recognize and empower young women.
