Astronomers find Conclusive Evidence for Intelligent Life on Another Planet! — 5 Comments

  1. Incidentally, the woman next to me in the photo is Dava Sobel, author of Galileo’s Daughter and Longitude. The date was April 14, 2011, the 400th anniversary of when Galileo first demonstrated his telescope in Rome, held on a hilltop south of the Vatican which is now the site of the American Academy.

  3. I must admit, deep in my emotional side, I was hoping “alright, they finally did it!” while the rational side was, “they’re pulling my leg somehow”
This is a great history lesson which really needs to be pointed out to each following generation!

For Father’s Day, I was given a copy of “Galileo’s Daughter”, “The Glass Universe”, and another unusual book, “God, the Moon, and the Astronaut” so I have my reading cut out for me!

    Great informative Post!
